Hello Veronica!
How was your trip? Did you come home early? What is it like in Norway and in Argentina this time of year? I have never been to either country, but would love to visit both! It is around 90 degrees where I am, without much of a breeze or humidity.
I have seen the Runaways perform once, Joan 3 times, Cherie 3 times, Sandy 3 times, and Lita twice. I agree about Joan. Her passion is most impressive and was undeniably the driving factor behind the band, not to mention being the main songwriter. I also agree about Cherie. Her stage prescence and charisma is stunning and magnetic, her vocals are far more polished and professional than the others. But a truly great band is always greater than the sum of its parts, always has a magic no one can define - - the Runaways, same as the Beatles - - better together than apart.

Hi Veronica! I've been a Runaways fan since i was 7 (that was in 1977, because my teenage cousin Tina used to babysit for me and got me into them!). I'd never seen them live, and then a few years ago, Cherie and Sandy came to NYC to do a couple of dates (which is where I live) and I was stuck in bed with the flu...AWFUL!! I have seen Joan about 7 times though....Yes, I love her, but I'm with Rice Cake: I love them most of all together.
I hope you had a nice trip!

Hi, I was very late to the game and didn't become a fan of The Runaways until 1986. I can see being nostalgic about the band especially if you were a fan while it was happening. I can also see that the individual members who pursued music after the demise of the band went on to develop their own musical styles. All of the music is good, collaborative and solo efforts.

My all time favorite Runaways' album is Waitin' For The Night. I can't thank Cherry Red Records enough for finally reissuing it on CD. Thank you very much Cherry Red.
